Helen Thomas interview December 2, 2010: ‘The Anti-Defamation League is intimidating me’
Helen Thomas said on a radio show that aired Tuesday that the Jewish-run harrassment group, the Anti-Defamation League, was intimidating her. The journalist defended comments she made last Thursday in Dearborn.
“I just think that people should be enlightened as to who is in charge of the opinion in this country,” Thomas, 90, told the Marion, Ohio, radio station WMRN-AM.
The ADL has ordered groups to remove honors in her name. Hours later, Wayne State University pulled an award in her name.
Thomas, the daughter of Lebanese immigrants, grew up in Detroit and graduated from WSU.
“I’m going to tell the Anti-Defamation League to back off,” Thomas said. “They think they have the right of intimidation.” “They already got my job. They want to get my honorary degrees.”
Helen Thomas has previously stated that “Congress, the White House and Hollywood, Wall Street are owned by the Zionists. No question.”
Why doesn’t Abraham Foxman of the Jewish-run ADL do what most academics do when there is a profound disagreement on certain issues and have a debate instead of all of the bullying, name-calling and defamation of character?
I mean, the ADL are really classy…bullying around and defaming an old lady. I mean really…
Let’s have an honest dialog on the charges that Helen Thomas brings against “the Zionists.” Let’s discover why she claims that there is an anti-Arab bias in the media and why Americans are being pushed in the wrong direction every time and discover if there is any truth there or not.
Let’s have some academics from the ADL or one of these other so-called “civil rights” organizations, and we can put their facts up against Thomas’ charges and we can see who is telling the truth and whose facts paint a picture that is closer to reality.
