DHS $9.7 Million Dollar Payout to ‘Safeguard the Jewish Community’
Warning: Under The Radar Media advocates no hate or violence toward The Department of Homeland Security’s preferred cultural and ethno-religious group, or any other federally protected cultural, ethno-religious groups
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded 97% of the$10 million in security grants to Jewish non-governmental organizations (NGO) for 2012 in order to “safeguard the Jewish community!” DHS Secretary Janet Napalitano recently gave an interview to Jane Eisner of The Forward regarding the news of the award to the American Jewish community, and to discuss Homeland Security’s ongoing commitment to the Jewish State of Israel.
This extraordinary payout to a very small religious, cultural and ethnic group is quite astonishing considering the many hundreds, if not thousands of NGO’s that currently exist in the US, from non-profit organizations that benefit underprivileged Americans to educational non-profit organizations. Napalitano and other Jewish leaders maintain that Jews face special risks that non-Jews do not face.
For instance, Napalitano cites the “intensified rhetoric between Israel and Iran” as justification for this preferential treatment. Napalitano also made the bizarre claim that Jews require special protection due to the 2009 Holocaust museum shooting, an attack that killed no Jews but rather left one Black security guard dead. Ironically, this paranoia has also caused some militant American Jews to take up arms and receive training from foreign troops on American soil, an activity that should be considered as subversive, if not outright terrorist activity by many law enforcement agencies.
One has to wonder, what kind of reaction this story would have received had it been reported in nightly news television broadcast media outlets such as FOX, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC or NPR. The simple fact that this news wasn’t reported in mainstream televised or online news outlets should lead critical-thinking individuals to some pretty self-evident conclusions.
On a related side note, Under The Radar Media’s video production of “Homeland Security’s Janet Napalitano – Safeguarding the Jewish Community” has recently been uploaded to another YouTube channel and has been circulated fairly widely among many alternative news media websites. Unfortunately, the YouTube user that has the version that is getting the most traffic has the retitled the video “‘Jews Don’t have To Go Through TSA’: Homeland Security’s Janet Napalitano.”
This is rather unfortunate because the claim that “Jews don’t have to go through TSA” is totally inaccurate, at least at this point, and is not a claim that is made in the original video production. The video was already intentionally tongue-in-cheek and over the top, so the extra sensationalism of the false claim was totally unnecessary.
Nevertheless, it’s good that the video is making circulation. Despite the offending user’s inaccurate video title, we hope that the video itself will stand on its own and inspire some lively discussion.
